Employ Kent Thameside was set up by the Kent Thameside Delivery Board (the partnership responsible for overseeing the regeneration of Dartford and Gravesham) in order to ensure that local people are skilled and able to take up the immense number of opportunities coming to the area as a result of regeneration. It is projected that there will be over 50,000 new jobs created - the majority being in finance and business services, public sector, manufacturing, hospitality, retail and distribution. The first wave of jobs will be in the construction sector.

Employ Kent Thameside has a Job Shop at The Bridge where you can call in and register for all types of work in the area. This Job Shop is linked with the Learning Shop at Bluewater.
